MTHS

The Middle Township High School Navy National Defense Cadet Corps (NNDCC) is a leadership and character development program. It's based on the Navy Junior Reserve Officer Training Curriculum which consists of four areas of study: leadership, academics, military skills, and physical fitness. Leadership lessons emphasize individual character development through increased self-discipline, responsibility, and dependability. Academics includes naval orientation, naval operation/organization, naval history, navigation, seamanship, nautical astronomy, electronics, and oceanography. Military skills training includes building respect and teamwork through drill and ceremonies, an understanding of military customs and courtesies, and extracurricular activities. Physical fitness requires daily attendance at physical training sessions conducted by the NNDCC Instructor.
